Lion was a hard rock/heavy metal band that formed in 1983, the line-up including band members Kal Swan and Douglas Aldrich. Lion recorded a version of the Transformers theme song for the The Transformers: The Movie soundtrack, featuring a few additional verses. The band would disband in 1989 after one of the members broke his neck in a motorcycle accident. However, Lion would return to update the theme song for the new release of the remastered DVD.
