Copterdrones are automatons in the Animated continuity family.

Copterdrones are automatons created by Isaac Sumdac for the purpose of law enforcement. They aid the police in subduing dangerous threats in Detroit, and possibly elsewhere in the world as well. Their small maneuverable nature means that they can engage the targets from many angles normally inaccessible to officers.

Copterdrones attempted to subdue the microbot-enhanced cockroach that was loose outside of Sumdac Tower. Their firepower didn't prove to be very effective, unfortunately. When the Autobots stepped in to combat the mutated creature, Captain Fanzone ordered the drones to engage them as well; he didn't trust the unfamiliar 'bots, especially since one of them was handling an innocent child. The Copterdrones proved to be little of a challenge for Bumblebee to take out. Transform and Roll Out Dispatches

Copterdrones assisted the Autobots in their capture of the criminal Stella Healy. Stiletto

When Soundwave took control of Detroit's automatons in his attempt to subjugate the human population, he used several Copterdrones to pester the Autobots. Sound and Fury

A group of Copterdrones were on the fritz, following Captain Fanzone about and shooting at him while he tried to gain Ratchet's attention. The old 'bot was too distracted, working on Bulkhead's spacebridge, to pay Fanzone any heed. Until the Captain got himself sucked into the space bridge that is. Before following him through, Ratchet destroyed the Copterdrones that remained. This Is Why I Hate Machines
