Magno-clamps are components in a Transformer's body used for easy attachment to and of various objects.

Fiction

Panini Armada comic

While escaping from a solar barge, Sparkplug and High Wire used their magno-clamps to attach themselves to the hull of the ship and walk on it. Lost in Space!

Force of Habit

Swindle secured his nucleon shock gauntlets with the aid of magno-clamps. Force of Habit

Shattered Glass

Thundercracker sometimes used his mango-clamps[sic] to pick up folks who hadn't been blessed with the power of flight and take them on a nice trip through the sky. BotCon 2011 Thundercracker profile card

IDW Generation 1 continuity

Rewind and Swerve used (fashionably purple) external magna-clamps[sic] to stick to the outside of the Lost Light while replacing its rivets. Interiors

Notes

  • Magno-clamps made their first appearance in the unofficial story "Alignment". In it, Grimlock used the ones in his feet to keep attached to the floor of his ship in a way akin to the usage of magno-treads, and Stormfront used the ones in his thigh to hold his concussion cannon when he didn't need to use it.
