- The repair spider is a piece of technology from the Marvel portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Operated from a separate console, the repair spider is a column of machinery with many extensible arms tipped with surgical lasers, cutters and welders capable of repairing the delicate circuitry of a Transformer's body... or taking it apart in a much less delicate fashion.
