| Hi-Way was the captain of a six-bot crew returning to [[Gobotron]] after a lengthy scouting expedition, one launched shortly after the GoBot conversion process was implemented. [[Scorp]] and [[Crain Brain]], flying in [[Space Hawk]] interceptors, observed them. [[Cy-Kill (GoBots)|Cy-Kill]] subsequently captured Hi-Way and all of the crew except [[Apollo (GoBots)|Apollo]], who escaped to warn the Guardians. Cy-Kill observed tension between Hi-Way and [[Decker Decker]], who blamed him for their capture. Using his mind-control abilities, Cy-Kill exacerbated Hi-Way's haughtiness, pushing Decker Decker to the [[Renegade]]s. [[Vain Train]] was similarly manipulated.
