Kindle serves as security aboard the Lost Light.

IDW Generation 1 continuity
Ultra Magnus assigned Kindle and Fervor to guard the Lost Light's shuttle bay when he learnt Froid was keeping Sunder, also known as the "Tetrahex Ripper", prisoner aboard his ship. When Rung returned Froid to the shuttle bay to see him off, they called it in to Magnus. Speak, Memory: Part 1
Fervor and Kindle tried to stop Sunder from hurting Rung and Skids. Unfortunately for him, a quick glance from Sunder and they were forced to rip themselves inside out.
They were presumably fixed after the adventure. Speak, Memory! (Part 2)
