Emirate is a title given to some high-ranking Transformer leaders. The title is political, not military.

The Emirates were prominent government figures prior to the Great War. What exactly being an Emirate entails and how one becomes one is unknown. There is some suggestion that an Emirate may be responsible for a certain territory (see "Notes"), as Xeon was apparently responsible for governance of Kaon.

Notes

  • If 'Emirate' is the Anglicized version of a Cybertronian title, then it is a misnomer. Emirate is not a title, but a word that describes a place. An Emir is the leader of an Emirate. At least, that's how it goes on Earth.
