| This article is about the Generation 1 Decepticon. For the Aligned Mini-Con, see Sting (Adventure). |
- Sting is a Decepticon (well, a pre-Decepticon) from the Legends anthology portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

This character has no official visual representation in any Transformers product or media... yet, at least.
Sting is a sad case — just smart enough to get into serious trouble, but not smart enough to get out of it.
Despite his small size, Sting has equipped himself with only close-range weapons. His right arm sports a sonic disrupter and shoulder-mounted strobe, his left arm has a hydraulic punch-press and a short-range energy cannon built into the shoulder. The gripping steel treads on Sting's feet give him the superior agility to make quick attacks that wear his enemy down while using disorienting sound and light as cover.
Because of the low power of his attacks, Sting's hit-and-run tactics prove ineffective against heavily armored opponents.

Geosensus was apparently drawn by energy readings from Sting's sonic disrupter, which he mistook for possible signs of Energon.
Sting fought hard against the much-larger Grabber, having both arms badly damaged. At the last moment, he threw himself onto Grabber's saw blade and used the momentum it imparted to topple both of them into the slag pit in the middle of the arena.
Though killed, Sting managed to take his opponent with him. A worthy death by Decepticon standards. Parts
