He is probably best known for routinely playing Medama-oyaji in every single incarnation of GeGeGe no Kitarō, a long-running Japanese franchise which has spawned five TV anime series and numerous movies since 1968. His other roles include Gara in Dr. Slump, Bibidi in Dragon Ball Z, Igor in Persona 4, and the on the Japanese dubbing were Jar Jar Binks in Star Wars, Pongo in One Hundred and One Dalmatians, Barney Rubble in The Flintstones and Officer Dibble in Top Cat.
