Beast Wars Shattered Glass is the ninth six-part story arc published through the official fan club, by license-holder Fun Publications. The story appeared in the club's bi-monthly magazine, in issues #49 to #54. The story follows the adventures of a group of Classicsverse Transformers as they battle on the prehistoric Earth of the Shattered Glass universe.

Beast Wars Shattered Glass

Overview

As the Classicsverse is destroyed, two ships commanded by Ultra Magnus and Megatron are pulled into another reality and crash on prehistoric Earth there. Faced with having to survive in an energon-rich environment, both factions adapt—the Autobots by taking on beast forms, and the Decepticons by using new armor. The two factions are joined by Depth Charge, sent by the TransTechs to keep the Origin Matrix out of evil hands.

Creative team

The story arc was written by Benson Yee and Pete Sinclair, with Matt Frank. As with the preceding arc, the art was by Matt Frank with colors by Thomas Deer and letters by Jesse Wittenrich.

Notes

  • As well as featuring the 2013 club subscription figure and one of the subscription service figures, the story uses and repurposes a bunch of existing toys. The Autobots, except Ultra Magnus, use bodies representing toys released during Beast Wars, while the Decepticons, except Megatron, repurpose Beast Wars II toys that originally represented characters from that franchise.
