:Unfortunately, as an American, the Titan comics are not easily available to me. However, I typically assume that while any movie tie-in media takes a film as its base story, a film itself is not beholden to tie-in media from any company. That's just the way it tends to go with fiction based around a "tent-pole" production like a movie; for instance, there was a tie-in web game for ''Transformers'' 2007 that established Agent Simmons' first name, which ''Revenge of the Fallen'' subsequently ignored in favor of a different one.
