He starred in a Fox sitcom with the surprising title of The Bernie Mac Show. He was one of the stars of The Original Kings of Comedy, and appeared in many other movies, including House Party 3, Mr. 3000, Madagascar 2, Ocean's Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen and even several without numbers in their titles. A sufferer of lung disease sarcoidosis, Mac died of complications arising from pneumonia in August 2008 in his hometown of Chicago.
