Typically, Transformers use hammers as medical or construction tools, but they can also serve as effective hand-to-hand combat weapons ideal for breaking shield, thick armor or shattering limbs. For similar weapons, see maces and flails.

• Ruin had a hammer in place of his left hand, to complement the anvil that the conjoined Rack had in place of his right. • Ultra Magnus wields the Magnus Hammer.
• Both Shockwave and Optimus Prime have also wielded the Magnus Hammer.
• The Allspark Almanac implies there is more than one "Stormbringer" hammer.
• Ratchet's deluxe class toy is packaged with a medical hammer, though it probably serves as an effective weapon as well.

Unicron Trilogy

• Red Alert has a hammer attachment for his gun-appendage, in his Cybertron Defense body he has a hammerhead weapon.
• Sharing Red Alert's body, Cannonball also has a hammer attachment for his gun-appendage.

IDW Generation 1 continuity

• Ruin once had "normal" hands Omega's Conundrum but at some point ended up being conjoined to Rack and had his left hand replaced with a hammer. Cybertron Red Alert came with a hammer-head that can be attached onto his left arm blaster.

Cyberverse

• Ultra Magnus (Cyberverse Commander, 2012)

Part of the third wave of Prime Series 2 Cyberverse Commander Class toys, Ultra Magnus came with a translucent blue hammer which can also transform into an artillery cannon.

• Ultra Magnus (Cyberverse Commander, 2014)

Part of the last known wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Cyberverse Commander Class toys, Ultra Magnus came with the Forge of Solus Battle Hammer.

Prime

• Ultra Magnus (Voyager, 2012)

Part of the fourth wave of Prime: Robots in Disguise Voyager Class toys, the Hasbro version of this larger-scale Magnus came with a massive artillery cannon that transforms into a "battle hammer", with its hammerhead illuminated by an LED.

The TakaraTomy release, part of the ninth wave of Japanese Prime toys, instead came with his Arms Micron partner Ulma, who transforms into his hammer. The hammer can still be wielded two-handed, but doesn't make a particularly convincing artillery cannon.

Beast Hunters

• Ultra Magnus (Voyager, 2013)

Part of the third wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Voyager Class toys, Ultra Magnus is now a retool/redeco of the "Robots in Disguise" Voyager Class Optimus Prime toy. He came with a larger-scale "Forge of Solus battle hammer", which features a 5mm handle.

Platinum Edition

• Ultra Magnus (Weaponizer, 2013)

Platinum Edition 'Thrilling 30' Ultra Magnus is a retool/redeco of the "Robots in Disguise" Weaponizer Class Optimus Prime toy that came with a different and even larger version of the "Forge of Solus Battle Hammer", which can only be held via two smaller 5mm handles on either end of the haft.

A show-accurate redeco of the Beast Hunters Voyager Class Ultra Magnus, this came with a show-accurate redeco of the Forge of Solus battle hammer.

• Thor's signature weapon is Mjolnir, a magical hammer that can create several types of energy blasts and with enough power to shatter mountains.
