The Ferrotaxis was created long ago and installed onboard Nova Prime's starship the Proudstar. Embedded within the computer was the Colonnade of Cybertron, the sum total of Cybertronian culture. In addition, the computer was connected to the vessel's Plasma Core power supply and the Insecticon swarm used for cyberforming worlds. During the Mission of Cybertronian Expansion, Nova Prime encountered a dark force that corrupted him and led him to seek the destruction of other planets. Due to Kranix's tampering, the Proudstar later crashed on the primitive world of Earth and remain buried there.
