Jupiter is the fifth and largest planet in Earth's solar system. A gas giant, it is surrounded by a faint planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere. There are 67 moons in Jupiter-orbit, among them Io.

After the destruction of the Nemesis, As Above...So Below Galvatron set sail for the Sanctuary Station aboard Astrotrain only for Cosmos to shoot out the Decepticon's engines, sending him falling into Jupiter's gravity well. After Galvatron sacrificed Astrotrain, he met his end in a three way fight against Arcee, Soundwave, and Optimus Prime in Jupiter's upper atmosphere. While Optimus claimed his head as proof of the threat passing, Galvatron's body was left to be disintegrated by the gas giant. No Fair Fights

After Unicron destroyed Cybertron, the Decepticon Vengeance Division quantum jumped to Jupiter orbit where they destroyed the Sanctuary Station. The Peaceful Revolution arrived seconds later, with Stardrive destroying 156 of Bludgeon's Maximals, before Unicron himself arrived, his powerful gravity field siphoning away part of the gas giant's atmosphere. Optimus Prime exhausted his energon while flying through space to meet his Creators, and was left drifting in the space near Jupiter for some time until Cybertron entered the Sol system, its gravity field pulling him down to his homeworld's surface. The Last Knight
