Though no concrete origin has yet been put forth for the Cybertronian species in the IDW universe, various authors would occasionally reference the creator gods as abstract religious beliefs rather than concrete deities—Unicron, specifically was never addressed by name, only fleetingly referred to as the "opposite" of Primus, who himself was not conclusively confirmed to exist.

Overview
Awakened by Merklynn's invasion of Cybertron, Unicron begins an attack on the galaxy—beginning with Rom's homeworld of Elonia. Now it's up to the Transformers must discover why Unicron has targeted this planet.
