Lion was a hard rock/heavy metal band that formed in 1983, the line-up including band members Kal Swan and Douglas Aldrich. Lion recorded a version of the Transformers theme song for the The Transformers: The Movie soundtrack, featuring a few additional verses. The band would disband in 1989 after one of the members broke his neck in a motorcycle accident. However, Lion would return to update the theme song for the new release of the remastered DVD.
Notes
- Lion's Transformers theme was sampled in the opening cinematic and main menu tracks of The Transformers for PlayStation 2.
- Cheap Trick performed a cover of Lion's Transformers theme for Revenge of the Fallen: The Album.
