A Galactic Positioning System (or GPS) is a system that tells its user his/her/its physical position in the galaxy. Surprise!

Optimus Prime had a GPS precise enough not only to say that he was on Cybertron, but where on Cybertron, even if nearby landmarks—like a mountain range—were missing. The Death of Optimus Prime
