The proton rifle is an Autobot weapon and a relatively common alternate mode for Autobot Targetmasters.
Toys
The Transformers

- Landfill (Targetmaster, 1988)
- Landfill's Targetmaster partner Silencer transforms into a a noiseless, recoil-less proton rifle that can be powered up by combining with Flintlock.

- Mainframe (Action Master, 1990)
- Mainframe's Action Master partner Push-Button also transforms into a proton rifle.
Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers

- Grand Maximus (1988)
- Japanese ID number: C-311
- A redeco of Fortress Maximus, Grand Maximus came with a redeco of Fort Max's Photon Rifle in red as a "Proton Master Rifle" which is presumably like a regular proton rifle, but bigger.
