- Chuckles is a human from the G.I. Joe portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Philip M. Provost, better known as Chuckles, is a member of G.I. Joe and one of the best undercover agents out there. His friendly and charismatic demeanor lets him gain the trust of practically anyone, and allows him to effortlessly infiltrate the ranks of Cobra or other villains. On the other hand, not even the Joes are quite sure if that's his true personality, or just another layer of his cover...
Chuckles can usually be seen dressed in a ridiculous Hawaiian shirt.

Chuckles drove a Yo Joe Cola truck, occupied by the members of the Ninja Force, up next to an Arbco moving van that was heading for Milleville. Once the Ninja Force had hopped over to catch their ride into enemy territory, Chuckles contacted Hawk that the Ninja Force had been deployed. Goin' South

Posing as a butler by the name of Wilson, Chuckles infiltrated one of Destro's mansions in Portugal. When Cobra Commander visited to request funding for his latest project, "Wilson" took him to Destro and remained for their discussion, thus overhearing Cobra's plans to hack into Teletran 3 and use its wormhole technology for evil. None the wiser, Destro ordered his butler to close down the mansion, at which point Chuckles leisurely strolled out of the house, leaped into the ocean and fled on a hidden jet ski. During his escape, he reported his findings to Dial-Tone. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers II #1
