Akram was in his desert village home when his son, Mahfouz, and a group of US Army Rangers came running across the desert, being pursued by a giant mechanical scorpion. The troops, including Mahfouz's friend, William Lennox, rushed into the village. Mahfouz led Lennox to Akram so Lennox could ask for a telephone. Akram spoke enough English to understand and handed Lennox a cell phone while he led his son to safety. Transformers
