The Alkaris Anomaly is a wormhole, the opening of which is located in space somewhere near the planet Cybertron. The anomaly has a potentially infinite number of exits, and thus anything that enters it can emerge at an unpredictable location elsewhere in the universe, making it a very unusual wormhole indeed.

[edit]Desperate to keep the AllSpark out of Megatron's hands, Optimus Prime came up with a last gambit — launch the AllSpark into the Alkaris Anomaly. He succeeded in keeping the Decepticons from preventing the AllSpark's launch and watched it fly into space. Transformers Comic #1 As Megatron moved to intercept the AllSpark, he was halted by a tractor beam. Shaking free, he paused long enough to set Devastator on them, and then plunged into the Anomaly after the AllSpark. He emerged in a far-off star system with no sign of his prey, which had likely taken a different exit. Transformers Comic #2
