Thundercracker? Why would I want to build that dweeb?

Transformers Power Up: The Game is a small flash game that was playable online at Hasbro's Transformers website during the Cybertron era.

Plot

The player must build four Transformers from the four planets: Vector Prime from Gigantion, Override from Velocitron, Scourge from Jungle Planet, and Thundercracker from Earth. Cybertron appears on the main screen, but is not selectable.

Gameplay

The player must find parts for the Transformers on the planet surface using tools such as sensor sweeps and probes in a manner not unlike Battleships. Gameplay is on a 10x10 board, with the Transformer's parts scattered randomly about, along with energon cubes and mines.

The tools are:

  • Recovery drone - checks one square.
  • Area scanner - checks a 2x2 block.
  • Survey sweep - checks an entire row.
  • Sensor probe - tests one square, giving either a red cross if nothing was found, or crosshairs if something was. The player must then use one of the other tools to actually check the square.

Notes

  • Thundercracker's name is spelled "Thunder Cracker".
  • Cybertron appears to have three very thin rings.
