In 2020, the reality-displaced Spike Witwicky and his comrades were living in Merida, seeking answers about the mysterious Earth they were living on. After a night out at dinner, Spike, Vroom, Crossblades, and Metalhawk were accosted by a mugger who discovered their Cybertronian nature, Assembly though they managed to hide the truth from the authorities. They soon encountered a mysterious stalker, Insight who turned out to be the local Megatron.
