"New Cybertron" is the first six-issue story arc in Optimus Prime, running for the first half of 2017 and encompassing part of the "Reconstruction" branding following the Revolution crossover. Each issue is split between two stories: in the present day, Optimus Prime struggles with Earth and Cybertron's governments, the religious zealotry of his new recruits, and Wreck-Gar's eccentric crew of Junkions, while a series of flashbacks set during the reign of Zeta Prime detail Orion Pax's brush with the emerging Decepticon faction and the choices that led him to wage war against them.
All of the issue titles are taken from the lyrics to the Covenant song, "Babel."
