Maccadam told Windblade and Bumblebee they needed to find the "King of the Dinosaurs" back in "Maccadam's"; Windblade learned his location in the previous episode.

In many continuities, Grimlock boasts about being "King" of the Dinobots.
In the IDW comics continuity, Grimlock and the Dinobots wound up buried by a volcanic eruption for thousands of years in order to thwart Shockwave's plans.
