Tackle is an Autobot from the Victory portion of Generation 1 continuity family.

Tackle combines with his erstwhile partner Mach to form the robot Machtackle and seperately serves as the left leg of Landcross. Tackle is brains, capable of discussing geology or physics with equal ease, though most often he ends up having to explain both to Mach. A speed demon who prefers fighting in his vehicle mode, Tackle more often then not serves as the legs to Machtackle. When not being ordered off the front lines that is.

Tackle defeated the Breastforce member Killbison without having to fire a single shot by making him so dizzy the Decepticon simply collapsed. Considering the usual combat effectiveness of the Breastforce members, this is an accomplishment on par with Davidbot versus Goliathtron.
