- The Progenitors are a group from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
The Progenitors presumably preceded the current rulers of Cybertron.

Notes
- It is unclear if "Progenitor" is in fact an alternative term for the Guiding Hand, the Knights of Cybertron, the Thirteen, or a unique group as the term is used only once in "Chaos Theory" and never mentioned again.
