The octopus-like [[alien]]s known as the '''Voin''' are an individualistic race of scavengers. Their aquatic biology, which requires that that they stay within their tanks on alien planets, means that they are not capable of doing much with their own appendages resulting in them having genetically engineered mindless simian creatures to act as their hands for them.
