"Red Five" (Cyberverse)
I thought that too, but I also thought that the way he was part of the group that was otherwise made up of named characters, his prominent red colouring and the fact he was the first one to be "shot down" as part of the diversion was a reference to the Redshirt trope, which then became playing with the trope because he didn't actually die.
