Trigger Inc. (株式会社トリガー Kabushiki kaisha Torigā) is a Japanese animation studio founded in 2011 by former Gainax employees Hiroyuki Imaishi and Masahiko Otsuka. Some of their most noteworthy programs include Kill La Kill, Little Witch Academia, Inferno Cop, SSSS. Gridman, and Promare.

Notes

  • A sizable amount of the studio's staff are fans of Transformers, and a lot of their programming has references to Transformers. Notably, the character designs in SSSS. Gridman are based on Transformers characters, with most of them referencing the Shattered Glass series. Additional shows with such references include Little Witch Academia, Inferno Cop, and Space Patrol Luluco, among others. They've collaborated with various official Transformers artists in the fan art book More Than Just A Geek Spark, and one can often spot Transformers toys in their studio in behind the scenes footage.
