Transformers One (working, possibly not even current working title) is an in-development Transformers film. It is being written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari,[1] and will be directed by Josh Cooley.[2] Transformers One will be an animated prequel movie set on Cybertron[3] and will revolve around the relationship between Optimus Prime and Megatron.[2]
Development timeline
- March 27, 2015 — As part of the development of Transformers: The Last Knight, Paramount Pictures negotiates with Akiva Goldsman, hiring him to create a "writer's room" with the intention of building a cinematic universe.[4] Among the writers hire are Ant-Man scribes Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, who pitch the concept of an animated Transformers prequel set in the live-action series universe.[3]
