This article is about the exclusive Dinobots-series Autobot. For the Beast Machines Dinobot, see Terranotron (BM).
Terranotron is an Autobot from the Dinobots portion of the 2001 Robots in Disguise continuity family.
Here we see a Terranotron utilizing the false "head" on his back to deter predators.

Terranotron is one of the mighty Dinobots. Sometimes he forgets his own name.

Fiction

Ask Vector Prime

The Dinobots, including Terranotron, battled the Destructicons Bludgeon, Scourge, Dreadwind, and Smokejumper in Viron 403.0 Beta. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/05/29 When Megazarak departed for a while, the Dinobots pressed the advantage and set back many of Jhiaxus's operations. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/08/11

I think you need a few more Autobot sigils, dude.

    • Accessories: Pistol
Terranotron is a redeco of Beast Wars Basic Class Lazorbeak (himself an all-new tooling based on the original Terrorsaur toy), transforming from organic Pteranodon (sort of) to robot mode with a single-step, spring-loaded transformation. His pistol folds up and stores behind his robot-mode head.
He was available only in a Walmart exclusive two-pack with Grimlock.
Initial shipments of the Dinobots toys gave Terranotron the name "Swoop". This was changed fairly quickly.
This mold was also used to make later runs of Terrorsaur in the UK, as well as Beast Wars Neo Hydra. The original tooling was used to make Fractyl and Age of Extinction Strafe (no, really).

Notes

  • Yeah, we're gonna bring this up again... a Pteranodon is not actually a dinosaur.
  • Terranotron and the other Dinobots had no "dimension" classification until an entry of the 2015 Facebook blog Ask Vector Prime assigned the 2003 Dinobots as Robots in Disguise (2001) characters.
  • The Dinobots' card-art, including Terranotron's, was created by Marcelo Matere.
