We will never know what this thing does.

The "ultimate Matrix" forged from the fusion of two time-displaced instances of the universe-birthing Silver Matrix and the Golden Power of Primus's own lifeforce, the Gold Matrix (ゴールドマトリクス Gōrudo Matorikusu) is an artifact of truly unfathomable power.

Sure would be a shame if somebody got whacked with a big hunk of kibble before they could use it.

Fiction

Generations Selects Special Comic

With the assistance of his Megatrons of the Seven Lights, Gold Megatron fused the Silver Matrices of the Precursor and Known Worlds to create the Gold Matrix. With it, he sought to unite past, present, future, and worlds to rule over all of creation as its one god. However, his machinations came to a premature end when Megatron's self from 2050 in the next world arrived to assist Primus and Star Convoy. With some encouragement from his future friend, Star Convoy was able to land a mighty blow on Gold Megatron with the remains of his own chest star, reverting Gold Megatron back to the original Galvatron of 2011. In the process, the Gold Matrix reverted to the two Silver Matrices. Finale Part 2

Galaxy Force

You will never own it, either. Kinda works out.
  • Galaxy Convoy Gold Version (Leader Lucky Draw figure, 2005)
    • Accessories: Trailer/armor, rifle, 3 missiles, Matrix of Leadership, Force Chip
Cybertron Optimus Prime comes with a removable Matrix of Leadership accessory. The Matrix fits in Prime's chest, and his large, articulated fingers mean that he can hold it, though not in both hands at once.
This gold-chrome and clear-plastic redeco of the Leader-class Optimus Prime figure was first offered as a prize in a mail-in contest held through TV Magazine alongside a silver chrome version of the same toy. Both figures were later made available again as prizes in a second contest in the September 2005 issue of TV Magazine, together with "Galaxy Convoy Custom Color Version".
