Hudson Soft was a Japanese computer game company. It was founded in 1973 by brothers Hiroshi and Yuji Kudo as a store for selling telecommunications devices, and evolved a few years later into a video game developer, even becoming the first third-party developer for Nintendo's Famicom. Franchises developed by the company included Bomberman, Star Soldier, Adventure Island, Momotarō Dentetsu, Far East of Eden, Bonk, Bloody Roar and Mario Party. In August 2001, Konami became Hudson's largest shareholder, later becoming their primary distributor in Japan. Hudson eventually became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Konami in April 2011, before being fully merged into Konami in March 2012.
In 2003, Hudson published DreamMix TV World Fighters, a fighting game mixing characters from Konami, Takara and themselves, including Optimus Prime and Megatron.
