The Autobots Red Alert and Topspin are both armed with particle beam rifles, as is the Decepticon Runabout.

Red Alert carries a high-energy particle beam rifle Red Alert's Universe profile while Topspin's is described as "powerful". Topspin's Universe profile Runabout's particle beam rifle shoots a high-energy beam of neutrons. Runabout's Universe profile

Runabout fired his particle beam rifle during a confrontation with Circuit Breaker at Independence Hall in Philadelphia and although she was injured in that battle, it would do him little good when she returned and trounced him and Runamuck with her jury-rigged Autobot suit shortly afterwards. Decepticon Graffiti!
