- Axeblade is a Mini-Con from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Axeblades really enjoy Earth customs, such as when human children call them by the nickname "Ax". Among the Mini-Cons, they specialize in bestowing abilities on their partners that involve using their ax alternate mode to inflict heavy damage on opponents.

The Mini-Cons were all brought to Earth from another dimension by Micronus Prime and could be found by humans in the Guardian Program equipped with an Autobot Scanner modified with Decepticon technology. Once located and recruited by paying them Energon, Axeblades could be partnered with Autobots to give them new abilities. Transformers: Heavy Metal
