Electron pistols appeared exclusively in the UK portion of the Marvel Comics continuity.

While escorting the Autobot Overlord to Iacon in the early days of the war, Megatron, Optimus Prime, Ravage, and Nightstalker were attacked by shock troops from the near-destroyed Tarn's military. The first shot fired was from an electron pistol, which destroyed one of Nightstalker's missile launchers, before Megatron was able to salvage a fusion cannon and return fire. State Games
