The Decepticon Dreadwind's weapons of choice are his thermal melters, which he can deploy in both robot and jet mode, as well as when combined with Darkwing to form Dreadwing.

While fighting Autobots on Nebulos, Dreadwind attempted to blast Goldbug with a thermal melter, but missed. People Power!
Acting on orders from Scorponok, Dreadwind and Darkwing raided an Alternate Reality warehouse guarded by Getaway, Slapdash, and Joyride. While Darkwing and Throttle snuck inside the facility, Dreadwind strafed the Autobots with his thermal melters, managing to disable Slapdash and Joyride, though Getaway evaded his blasts and confronted the Decepticon intruders with his plasma-shell shotgun. Prime Bomb!
