Untite

Untite is a Predacon from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Eternally ravenous for the corpses of his fellow Transformers, Untite (アンタイト Antaito) is a hyena Cyborg Beast who's found the perfect niche at the end of the universe. His fixation on the dead isn't limited to eating them—he can also control them.

End of G1 Universe

Untite was created as a Cyborg Beast who could only eat the dead by Unicron.

Eons later, Untite used a dead Earth as his personal buffet due to the amount of Transformer battles that took place on it throughout history. It was there he smelled the body of Leo Prime brought to the planet by Bluebolt. Summoning an undead Seeker to restrain the Maximal, Untite approached the lion to eat him, only to be repelled by the ritual Bluebolt already set in place; the body was revived as the new being Dark Amber Leo Prime, who Untite initially took to be Unicron himself. Dark Amber was unsure as to his identity, leading Untite to conclude that he could kill and consume this newly born being to gain greater power. Untite managed to severely wound Dark Amber with his "Genocide Cutter", but the black lion was able to recover by consuming some dirt—it being a part of the planet and sustenance for a planet eater, after all—and took down the Seeker to Untite's consternation. Untite soon found himself the target of Dark Amber Leo Prime's attentions and, despite the Predacon repeating his attacks, he just found himself shredded to pieces by Dark Amber's own saw attack. Trying to have the last laugh, the head of Untite explained to his opponent that they were doomed, anyway—Earth was soon to explode with them still on it. Dark Amber, not liking that prospect, used the powers of Unicron within himself to restore the planet to one filled with flora and fauna. In the process, Untite was restored to his full self and, grateful, offered his services for life to the black lion, which he gladly accepted. Knowing that the rest of the universe still required fixing, Dark Amber joined with Bluebolt and Untite to travel to other worlds so that they could also be renewed. Notes

• Untite is a virtual redeco of Beast Wars Jawbreaker, with the mold's Transmetal 2 design being repurposed to be a Cyborg Beast.
• We could not tell you with certainty what Untite's name is supposed to mean. Our best guess is that it is a portmanteau of "undead" and "appetite".
