Transform-ups are a minor punishment from the Animated continuity family.

A transform-up is a minor punishment for misbehaving Autobot boot camp cadets. It involves the Transformer being forced to lie in a [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}prone position|{{#if:||prone position}}]] and rapidly transform to and from their alternate mode. Generally enforced en masse, it is similar in effect to [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}push-up|{{#if:||push-up}}]]s in humans.

2005 IDW continuity

Known as "mode-drilling" and considered a particularly harsh method of training, Roadbuster suffered through it as a cadet. When he became an instructor, he made his own cadets mode-drill and under the toxic influence of Tarantulas, sometimes forced them to change forms so many times they died from the experience.
