Transcon was an unofficial Transformers convention hosted by Men in Black Productions. BotCon 1996 was, according to Men in Black, Transcon I.
Transcon II was held in July 1997 in Chicago, IL. The Onyx Primal exclusive was offered again for attendees.
Transcon III was held in September 1998 in Toledo, OH. It was held simultaneously with Microcon, a Microman convention, and Megocon, which mostly amounted to a large display of Mego dolls.
