Beyblade (ベイブレード Beiburēdo) is a toy franchise owned by TakaraTomy and licensed by Hasbro that revolves around modular spinning tops used for competition. It has spun off to various media like video games, manga, and anime.

It has three main incarnations:

  • Bakuten Shoot Beyblade (爆転シュート ベイブレード Bakuten Shūto Beiburēdo)
  • Metal Fight Beyblade (メタルファイトベイブレード Metaru Faito Beiburēdo)
  • Beyblade Burst (ベイブレードバースト Beiburēdo Bāsuto)

Why don't the actual Transformers Beyblades transform as much as the regular ones? The only "transforming" they do is Partform by being get blown to scrap by being [1] in during rounds of competition.

In this app game (with toy scanning features a la the Robots in Disguise mobile game), 3 Digital Exclusive Beyblades depicting Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Megatron were made available, under the names, Ion Optimus Prime', Stinger Bumblebee and Gladiator Megatron . It remains to be seen if they get an actual, physical release.
