Momus is a Transformer from the 2005 IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
The "your mom" jokes write themselves.

Momus is a Senator and a Decepticon sympathizer. That's why he was murdered!

Fiction

2005 IDW continuity

Hailing from Helex, Momus came from humble backgrounds: the foreman at Luna 2's Thymesis Energon mining facility. One day, two of his workers discovered a "Point One Percenter": a green spark that would birth a very special Transformer. As a reward for finding it, the Functionists declared that Momus was free to choose his alt mode and career. Remembrance Day

He went way up in the world, becoming a member of the corrupt Cybertronian Senate and living it large in Translucentica Heights. Momus remembered where he came from though, and unlike most other senators he spent time around poor people, inviting the working classes round his flat for parties. This made the Heights' security guard, Red Alert, suspicious that Momus was a secret Decepticon. And he was indeed! Shine an ultraviolet light around Momus's place, you'd see the Decepticon insignia.

The Senate were aware he was a Decepticon and shortly after the death of Nominus Prime, Momus became the second senator (after fellow Decepticon Sherma) to be assassinated. Mechaforensics investigators Prowl and Tumbler were set up to discover trace amounts of cerulean glass, which could only be found at Translucentica Heights, on Sherma's corpse, and his headless body was thrown from a window at them as they arrived. A Decepticon insignia was graffitied on poor Momus. His killers were themselves both killed, but the Senate still won: since Momus and Sherma were clearly killed for being Decepticons and Senator Proteus had ensured the real killers were found, Proteus must be trustworthy! Post Hoc
