Fools Paradise is a Hong Kong-based brand that designs art toys. Its pop culture mashup designs skirt the fine line between fair use parody and plain ol' copyright infringement. Its main exports appear to be vinyl figures based on Super Mario/Léon: The Professional, pandas with clocks for faces, and Pinocchio Jokers that say a lot about society.

Fools Paradise's designs are manufactured into real figures by another Hong Kong online store, ZCWO. This partnership has resulted in a number of licensed collaborations with Garfield, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and, the reason we're here: Transformers.

Merchandise

LOWFOOL

The LOWFOOL range of figures depicts (unlicensed) characters from popular culture as hulking men, usually with the same facial features of a strong brow, squinting eyes, and moustache. The standard LOWFOOL body type lends itself well to its "League of Steel" subline, which portrays robotic characters as muscular American football players in armour based on the character in question. After (again, unlicensed) figures of Evangelions and Gundams, the "League of Steel" line introduced a number of iconic Transformers characters.

A "League of Steel" figure of Starscream also appeared in promotional group shots, but has not yet been solicited for release.

Other

Fools Paradise and ZCWO also released a more conventional (if stylised) statue of Optimus Prime.
