- Part of the ninth wave of TakaraTomy Prime toys, Bido transforms from a robotic rhinoceros beetle into the tri-barreled "Sling Shock" weapon from the Fall of Cybertron game. As part of the Arms Micron gimmick, Bido features numerous 5 mm peg-holes and a pair of pegs, allowing him to combine with other Microns to form bigger and more ridiculous "Combo Weapons" and "Super Combo Weapons".
- As an "Ice" crystal type, his main combination is with Bogu and Giza as the Shooting Star Scissors Super Combo Weapon.
- He was only available packed in with the Deluxe Shockwave toy, coming out of the package as a bunch of unpainted parts on runners, like a model kit. His extra deco is provided by customer-applied foil stickers on a sheet he shares with Shockwave. Bido actually replaces the mold's built-in arm-weapon, thus both of Shockwave's modes are incomplete without weapon-mode Bido attached, as the original cannon also forms a significant chunk of the jet-form fuselage. It's still technically functional, it's just got a big dang hole in it.
Notes
[edit]- Bido's name is a shortening of the Japanese rendition of "beetle" (ビートル bītoru), with the second syllable changed to a voiced one.
- Bido is one of only two Arms Micron molds that has never been redecoed in any way, shape or form, the other being Ulma.
