Where once it was possible to avoid being crushed to death by Tentakil by keeping out of arm's reach, with his post-upgrade mass-compression cannon mode, that option is no longer available. This Targetmaster weapon generates energy fields around a target that exert pressures approaching eight tons per square inch, akin to those at the deepest ocean depths.

Timelines Tentakil's Targetmaster mode was upgraded to a Mass-Compression Cannon, according to his bio card. This toy was redecoed from The Transformers Tentakil, which was also available in a Piranacon giftset, was concurrently sold in Takara's Super-God Masterforce line as the drone-unit Tentakil, and was reissued as part of the Transformers (2010) toyline in a Decepticon Piranacon multi-pack. The mold was redecoed and released without accessories as Scylla in 1998 as part of Japan's Beast Wars II toyline.
