This article is about the dinosaur Decepticon from Collaborative. For the similarly-named Sharkticon commander from the Aligned continuity, see Tyrannicon.
Tyrannocon Rex is a Decepticon from Jurassic Park (via Collaborative).
Hopefully she eats those two annoying kids from Jurassic World and NOT the kids from Camp Cretaceous.

Tyrannocon Rex is ready to wreak havoc on Jurassic Park, and only the Autobot JP93 stands in her way![1]

Although she is a Decepticon, the Jurassic Park security staff know Tyrannocon Rex by name. She is considered a captive asset of the park, with an assigned paddock. When she escapes containment, the Autobot JP93 is assigned to track her down and return her to that paddock.

  • Tyrannocon Rex / Autobot JP93 (Multi-pack, 2021)
The seventh release in the Collaborative line, Tyrannocon Rex is a new-head retool of Kingdom Leader Class Megatron (Beast), transforming into a Tyrannosaurus rex appropriately inspired by the Jurassic Park school of design. Her deco is based on 'Rexy', the T. rex from both Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, as she appeared in the first Jurassic Park movie. Though Tyrannocon Rex does not come with any fire blast effects, those from other toys can be attached inside her dinosaur mode mouth. While she features a left hand underneath the tail weapon in robot mode, the tail weapon cannot be detached from her forearm.
Most of the beast mode shell is cast in a rubbery PVC plastic material, likely to enhance the texture of the dinosaur mode as well as assist the part-clashing transformation. The beast mode itself is well articulated, especially with thigh pieces on a slider to ensure vertical hip movement, as well as spring-loaded pieces around her neck to prevent the sculpt from breaking up too much while posing.
Although Tyrannocon's red and black color scheme in robot mode was stated to be inspired by the Jurassic Park logo, it is also similar to some of the primary robot mode colors of the original Dinobots. Whether this was also a deliberate design choice or coincidental is unknown.
The toy comes with Autobot JP93, in a diorama package re-creating the uber-tense scene from Jurassic Park where the T.rex escapes her enclosure, complete with a little cardboard overturned tour vehicle for her to step on. In a cute hidden Easter egg, Mr. DNA is pictured on an interior box flap. The back of the box has a picture of a muddy T. rex footprint from the movie, which has amusingly been modified to include an imprint from Tyrannocon's dewclaw due to it being shifted from her calf to her heel for stability.
This set was exclusive to Amazon in the United States, going up for pre-order on June 29, 2021. They would later, on December 1, 2021, be available on Hasbro Pulse in the United States, and select retailers worldwide.
This mold was also used to make Kingdom T-Wrecks.

Notes

  • Despite Tyrannocon Rex being identified as a Decepticon, and JP93 as an Autobot, the paragraph of story text on the back of their shared package is unrelated to the Autobots' battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons. The staff of Jurassic Park apparently know the names of both of these characters, but Tyrannocon Rex is described as an “asset” of the park, just like the dinosaurs, and when she is "out of containment", JP93’s assignment is only to return the asset to her containment paddock.
  • Before it was announced, the toy two-pack was first discovered in store listings under the name "Transformers TRA Project Park".
