Synopsis

Megatron has put Starscream up to the task of laying a trap for the Autobots. The treacherous flier quickly digs a trap for Bumblebee and Optimus Prime as they drive by... only for them to somehow drive over the trap without falling in. An indignant Starscream ends up falling face-first into his own trap when he attempts to check it.

Next, Starscream tries to get his own back by hurling a pie at Prime's face—but when the Autobot leader bends down to investigate a pretty flower, the carelessly thrown pastry hits Megatron in the head. As Starscream transforms and flies off, the Decepticon leader shouts that Starscream had better not mess up the next time—as Megatron cleans his face, he wonders if, perhaps, his underling might pull off the job... only to see that Starscream's used his time to sky-write a rude message to Megatron!

Notes

• This comic was published in the August/September 2021 issue of TV Magazine and advertised the Studio Series Bumblebee Starscream toy.
• It was re-run as the first March 2022 issue of the bi-monthly web comic, now advertising Premium Finish WFC-04 Starscream.
• This issue was published a yet third time in the first collected edition of Transformers Go! Go!, after which Kodansha subsequently took the rather cynical step of replacing its page on the TV Magazine website with a redirect to an issue advertising the physical release.

Transformers references

• While Oda maintains her penchant for toy accuracy, Starscream is based on neither of the toys advertised, but rather on the Earthrise Starscream figure in a move prioritizing the comic's classical Generation 1 cartoon aesthetic over moving current product.
