- The robo-bat was depicted on Polar Claw's card, who was one of the 24 beast warriors to receive a battle card representation for the Beast Wars card game.
Notes
- Batscout did not have a well-established name prior to 2008. Hasbro's 1996 pre-Toy Fair catalog gives the drone the generic descriptor of "radical robo-bat" as part of the product copy for the prototype version of Polar Claw. Subsequent English material during Beast Wars did not give the bat a name, although it was referred to as "Bat Scout" (バット・スカウト) in licensed Takara guidebooks and trading cards.[1] The Japanese name likely influenced the 2008 trade paperback release of the Transformers: Beast Wars Sourcebook, which went with "Batscout".
